Rear brake light kill switch

Ability to kill only our brake lights. Why do you ask would we want to kill our brake lights? Of course we would only do this when safe to do so. As you may/may not know, team Tork is a Gumball Trophey winner for safety. Safety is our #1 priority.

We killed our break lights in two situations during the last Gumball.

  • The first instance was in Thailand on the VERY twisty and hilly roads. When a Gumballer was behind us trying to keep pace or trying to overtake us, we would turn off the brake lights so that they could not judge when we were baking. This makes it harder for them to keep up as they they can not judge their movements based on ours. it is very easy to shadow another when you have indicators of when to brake and when to accelerate.

  • The second situation we killed our break lights was in certain areas in the US. You need to go fast, but without looking like you are going fast. if you hit your breaks a lot, weave in and out of traffic some one will surely call you in. Killing the break lights helps with the illusion we are trying to create.

Of course the kill switch is not far away and if an emergency situation arrives we immediately turn it back on.
