Police Radar Detection

Valentine One - We have tried the best radar detectors there are including the yet to be released Bel STI Driver. However we find the Valentine One to be supreme amongst all radar detectors. We run THREE Valentine One detectors. We have two stealth (LOW mount with remote heads) installed in the front and rear bumpers. The low stealth installs allow us to detect RF skip at the front and rear of the GT thus increasing our range of detection. Our third V1 is mounted on the front windshield up high. All three are far enough away so not to interfere with each other. Our radar sensitivity is unsurpassed and can pick up even the slightest radar blips from miles away.

Secondly,the V1 gives out different beeps depending on the type of radar being detected. both I and my navigator are trained as to what radar we are being hit with purely by the sound from the V1. This gives us a few more mili seconds to slow down in case we get hit at close range.

During the final stage of the 2006 Gumball while in the middle of Death Valley this method of detection allowed us to detect a CHP from miles behind us when he unsuccessfully tried to nail the Tork GT with Ka radar. We quickly decreased our speed from 160+ mph down to 55mph. The CHP then eventually caught up to us, passed and then turned off to try and nail more gumballers.
